The Human Fraternity Foundation opens the first chain of Fratello restaurants, free of charge, for families in need

Human Fraternity Foundation
It is a non-profit, civil society organization registered under No. 1091 of 2022 in the Central Administration for Associations and Federations of the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity. The Foundation’s motto is “With humanity, we reach all,” and its goal is to serve all segments of the Egyptian people, spread the principles and teachings of the Document on Human Fraternity, and affirm that with goodness we make hearts happy and with goodness, hearts are happy.

Restaurant idea
The idea of the restaurant is based on solidarity with the families in need, receiving them in the restaurant and presenting them with a menu so that they can choose the meals they want freely and in a way that preserves their dignity and makes them feel friendly and hospitable. They will be served by a team of trained volunteers. The head of the family will provide the card paid in advance from the organization and from charitable people.
The first and last goal of this initiative is to serve our people in the appropriate way that they deserve as dear and honored guests.

Where is the restaurant located?
The first branch of Fratello Restaurant is located in the Al-Miraj area in Maadi to serve the residents of Asmarat, Turah, Maadi Barracks and the surrounding areas.

Families benefiting from this service?
The project is implemented in full partnership and under supervision with the Ministry of Solidarity to ensure absolute transparency. The Ministry provides lists of families deserving of care, which are studied and communicated with by the Human Fraternity Foundation, granting each family its own card, and coordinating appointments and details with them to benefit from this service free of charge.
The restaurant provides its services to all citizens at reduced prices, which are used to provide part of the expenses for families in need, to activate the principle of solidarity and social responsibility, and to build bridges of goodness and affection between the people of the country.

The charitable card system...a new step on the path to social solidarity
  As part of our ongoing efforts to provide support to the most needy families, our organization launched the charitable card system, which aims to provide food aid to deserving families in a transparent and fair manner.

Card system:

There are two types of cards:
- Prepaid card: This card is available to all people who are able to purchase it, ship it, and distribute it to those they know who are unable. There is no maximum value for this card, and it can be used on all days of the week.
- Charity Card: This card is distributed through the organization only through the case study committee. The number of meals per month for this card is determined, which is 4 times the number of family members. The card is specific to the day and each day has a different colour. The card is renewed every 6 months through the case study committee. The card is linked to a code in the family database that was developed by the case study committee. The card calculates the number of meals fed (4 times * the number of family members) and is deducted automatically. 40% of the number of meals on the card can be spent as fast meals in the event that all family members are unable to attend or if some of its members are unable to attend (the elderly - people of determination).

This system provides many advantages, including:
Ease of use: Anyone can use this system, whether they are needy or donors.
Justice: This system ensures that aid reaches those who deserve it fairly, through a case study committee that studies needy cases.
Efficiency: This system can be used to distribute food aid effectively, as the number of meals fed is calculated automatically.
